Centre-based therapy (Edinburgh only)
The first of its kind in Scotland, this service is for those families who would prefer their child to receive therapy in our therapy room at Beetroot Sauvage in South Edinburgh. Centre-based therapy allows the Behaviour Analyst to minimize or alleviate many variables that can prove difficult to control in a home environment e.g. toys, entertainment devices, pets, and even siblings can cause unnecessary distractions that hamper a child’s development. In a therapy room we are able to control the ‘environment’ much easier than in a home setting.
This service includes:
- An experienced ABA supervisor who assesses, develops and oversees your child programme
Weekly 1:1 therapy/parent coaching sessions from either the ABA supervisor and/or junior therapist.
Initial training workshops: a training session that includes basic theoretical knowledge of ABA and a hands-on workshop to train you how to implement your child’s program.
- Follow up workshops: It is vital that we can review your child’s progress to ensure that as they progress we can introduce new programmes and avoid stagnant programs. Follow up workshops also provide an opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns the team may have, and brainstorm potential solutions.
- Coaching packages; we have several types of coaching packages available depending on the amount of therapy you would like and if you would like therapy from a certified behaviour analyst and/or a junior therapist. Our packages can be tailored to your needs and your budget. They are sold in blocks of 5 weeks and are pre-paid so you needn’t worry about hiring therapist yourself or processing multiple invoices. Payments are all made online.
